In The Car
Rather than using drive time to catch up on your cell phone calls, connect with your child in an enjoyable learning experience.

Talk with your child about where you are going and what you will do when you get there.
Before you set out, decide what color vehicles you will look for, or what color houses, or what types of animals. Keep a count as you go.
Count the cars in the train as it goes by. Talk about the difference between a freight train and a passenger train.
Talk about the buildings you see and what the people do who work there.
Name the parts of the car and what they do.
